The Blue Lagoon Hearing Trust (formerly The Blue Lagoon Charitable Trust) was formed in October of 1996. We are a charitable trust devoted to helping the hard of hearing and Deaf in the Tauranga City area including Mount Maunganui, and Papamoa.

Our objectives
To promote the interests and the general welfare of hard of hearing and Deaf persons in the Tauranga City areas including Mt. Maunganui, and Papamoa.
To advance the educational, economic, vocational, physical, and social welfare needs and aspirations of the hard of hearing and Deaf.
To support research into the causes, treatment and prevention of hearing impairment and deafness.
To support training of persons involved in working for and with the hard of hearing.
To provide scholarships for people who are hard of hearing or hearing persons working in this area.
To assist with the purchase of equipment or devices for communication purposes.
To assist with medical advice or treatment.
